THE gap at the top of the Premier League is now up to nine points - which means City can surely not afford any slip-ups from now until the end of the season.

We only have to think back to last season to know we shouldn't be counting our chickens until they are hatched.

I've got City in at 6/1, while United are as short as 1/10.

Looking ahead to this weekend's games and the Blues are up first tomorrow when they make the trip down to St Mary's to take on Southampton.

On paper it should be three points to the visitors who are 8/15 but the pressure is really on them now.

The draw is 3/1 which would see them drop another couple of points, while a Saints victory is priced up at 9/2. United fans have to wait until Sunday to see their side in action when they entertain Everton at Old Trafford.

The Toffees are having a really good season so far and still have an outside chance of a top-four finish. …
