Nomadic Davies So Glad to Be Wanderer

SHOOTING star Craig Davies is ready to silence the Barnsley boo boys tomorrow to keep Bolton's play-off hopes alive.

The Tykes have lost only once since Davies played his final game for the club against Peterborough on New Year's Day. And while the much-travelled striker still has strong affections for the Oakwell side and Boltonborn boss Dave Flitcroft, Davies is happy to be a Wanderer.

So, he's expecting a mixed reaction when he returns to South Yorkshire.

"Hopefully, the reception won't be too bad," said Davies who netted for Barnsley against Bolton earlier in the season.

"There were a few fans bitter about the way I left. However, I think any player in my position would have done what I did."

Davies, who was Dougie Freedman's first permanent signing, has already shown glimpses of the form that made the ex-City trainee such a big favourite at Oakwell.

"Whenever you play against a former team it's always an occasion," said the Welsh international.

"But I just want Bolton to do well now and come away with the points. …
