APAIR of concrete wellies given to comedian Jimmy Cricket by legendary entertainer Ken Dodd have been stolen.

The pair of signed concrete boots were given to Jimmy by Doddy as a 50th birthday present nearly 18 years ago.

Ken gave the wellies to Jimmy as a present, as the comedian's trademark outfit consists of a pair of boots marked 'L' and 'R' for left and right, but worn on the wrong feet.

But Jimmy noticed this week that the boots, which had stood proudly in his Rochdale garden, had been taken.

Jimmy, 67, of Shawclough Road, said: "Me and my wife were sat in the garden and noticed that they were not there. We think they were probably taken sometime on Monday night.

"These are not the lightest things in the world, so I have told the police they are looking for a burglar with a hernia.

"Whoever it was also took a hosepipe. …
