On a Mission to Help Keep People Warm and Toasty ; New Scheme to Help Slash Fuel Costs Free Home Insulation and Boilers for Residents

SUMMER may have arrived last week - but Greater Manchester residents are being offered the chance to make their homes 'toasty warm' in time for winter.

The 'Get Me Toasty' campaign will see the region's less well-off residents offered free cavity, loft, and wall insulation and efficient boilers.

Anyone living in Greater Manchester's 10 council areas can apply for the scheme - aimed at saving the most poor and vulnerable households hundreds on their annual energy bill. Discounts on energy- efficiency work are even being offered to comfortably well-off households, while homes in certain areas qualify automatically.

A host of alternative technology - such as solid wood insulation for homes without cavity walls - is also available to homeowners who may previously have been turned down for insulation work for technical reasons.

'Fuel going time, people struggling keep homes In Bury, people living in certain areas - Radcliffe, Moorside, Bury East, and Redvales - will automatically qualify for the scheme. …
