SHE belongs to a select club of actors who have successfully moved from one high profile soap role to another.

And Nikki Sanderson couldn't be happier to be enjoying her second soap run on Hollyoaks - after spending her teenage years and early twenties on Coronation Street.

She's settled in nicely on the Chester-set soap, playing feisty and flirtatious Maxine Minniver.

She beams: "It's such a happy S place on Hollyoaks, everyone has really welcomed me. And I love playing Maxine, she's such a fantastic character and I really enjoy the comedy side of her character. Nikki says: "I really, really hope that Hollyoaks gets some recognition. It's no longer just a teen drama and the storylines are really, really strong at the moment."

On our fashion shoot up on the 25th floor of the Beetham Tower on Deansgate, Nikki rocked a host of looks showcasing the neon bright fashion trends hitting the shops.

Although she admitted she was nervous wearing the peep toe high heels - as her dedicated marathon running has left her poor toes battered and bruised.

Nikki ran the London Marathon last month in an impressive time of four hours - all to raise money for the When You Wish Upon A Star Charity.
