Tomkins Admits Australia Has 'An Attraction'

WIGAN full-back Sam Tomkins has dismissed rumours he has signed a deal with an NRL club - but admits he is attracted to playing Down Under.

The highly-coveted England international has been heavily linked with a move to the NRL, particularly with the New Zealand Warriors.

The 24-year-old said: "I am firmly concentrating on Wigan at the moment.

"We have got a busy period coming up with the Challenge Cup final in a month's time.

"I am aware of the strong rumours that I will be moving to a few different clubs, but I can say hand on heart I have not signed any contracts yet."

A number of English players are prominent in the NRL including James Graham, Gareth Widdop and Sam and Luke Burgess.

And Tomkins' former Wigan team-mate Thomas Leuluai also now plays for the Aucklandbased Warriors.

"I speak to quite a lot of them on a regular basis," Tomkins said. "They all do love it over there.

"I've spoken to them since they left, so it's not like I'm just speaking to them now just to get an idea of what it's like over there. …
