Scout Group Is Latest to Join the Wish List Race for Tokens ; Members Are Pedal Car Race Champions

ASCOUT group has joined the M.E.N. Wish List in a bid to rev up its pedal car supplies.

The 105th Manchester Scout Group, based in Blackley, are champion pedal car racers within the country's scout community and are gearing up to take part in this year's British Pedal Car Race Series.

They're the latest member of the M.E.N. Wish campaign, which will see Pounds 25,000 shared between 200 not-for-profit groups across Greater Manchester.

Scout leader Gary Hollingsworth explained that money from Wish would be put towards new tyres, brakes and helmets, so that more members of the 102-year-old organisation could take part in the fun.

He said: "The more we run the activities, the more tyres we use and we do not want to let any of our team down by not providing the best equipment available.

"Watching the smiles on the racers' faces and the excitement they have is immeasurable, and providing a healthy activity is a must."
