Star Guests Enjoy a Vintage Night at Our Big Bash

Article excerpt

IT'S a night for old friends to reunite - plenty of new ones to be made. And this year's Diary Party at The Lowry Hotel in association with Boohoo certainly brought together some intriguing new pals.

Showbiz favourite David Gest tends to cause a stir wherever he goes, and as he headed to join the glitterati our annual bash, this year with a vintage glamour theme, it was no different.

The last time he joined us at the Diary Party, he caught the eye of Hollyoaks producers who were keen to get him in the soap, and David was happy to catch up with many of the show's stars this year, including Jorgie Porter, Nicole Barber-Lane and Jessica Forrest.

And Most Haunted star Yvette Fielding was so pleased to meet David she planted a showbiz smacker on the star as they chatted on the dancefloor.

However Yvette was keen to steer clear of her Celebrity Super Spa nemesis, former Coronation Street star Helen Flanagan, who also attended on the night.

Yvette had branded the 23-year-old actress a diva after Helenlarked around during a task with pal James 'Arg' Argent and decided not to wear her beauticians' tabard on the Channel 5 reality show.

So Yvette busied herself having a great time at our party with her TV producer hubby Karl Beattie and pals including record studio boss John Stretford with whom she jumped on stage to belt out The Rolling Stones' Satisfac-tion with Rockaoke.

Later at the party Helen, who was in true bombshell form in a corset dress and red fur stole, told us that she is keen to move on from the row.

She said: "It's just a show and I don't have any bad feelings towards Yvette. How she reacted did upset me but I wish her well."

Bury-born Helen revealed that she will be keeping in touch with TOWIE star Arg, who has confessed to having a crush on her.

But alas it seems romance isn't on the horizon despite all their recent flirting.

"He's a really good friend," she told us. Meanwhile Corrie's Brooke Vincent got to reunite with her on-screen sister Helen at the bash - as well as her former on-screen girlfriend, aka actress Sacha Parkinson. …
