BURY 0 MORECAMBE 2 IN-FORM Morecambe heaped more misery on under- fire Bury boss Kevin Blackwell.

The Shakers were on top for the first hour, but a combination of excellent goalkeeping and poor finishing kept them at bay.

Morecambe midfielder Ryan Williams broke the deadlock in the 62nd minute with a superb 30-yard free-kick before Bury alarmingly seemed to throw the towel in.

Ex-Macclesfield defender Tony Diagne came on in stoppage time to fire in a second to leave Bury without a win in seven games and renewed calls from the fans for Blackwell to be sacked.

"If you create chances like that you've got to stick them away, but we're saying that week in, week out," said Bury assistant Ronnie Jepson.

"The way we started was fantastic but there wasn't a willingness to get on the end of crosses.

"The lads are working hard but we need a targetman and we're trying to find one."

Winger Craig Jones replaced the injured Marco Navas and gave Morecambe's left-back a torrid time, delivering several teasing crosses but went off injured himself at half-time. …
