Khan Has to Fight Floyd ; Mayweather Superfight Is a Must for Amir, and He Can Give Pound-For- Pound Champion a Real Headache

Article excerpt

ber too many fights when IWOULD'VE fought Amir Khan if I'd got through my comeback with Vyacheslav Senchenko last year.

The idea was to fight my old mate Paulie Malignaggi first and, hopefully, win another world title. But that would have set up one of the biggest fights in British boxing history.

I think we could have sold 100,000 tickets for Wembley. It would have been sensational.

I don't think there will be many people who would pick him to win and he'd be the first to admit that.

But there is so much to admire about Amir.

For a long time there was a question mark about his chin after he lost to Breidis Prescott all those years ago.

He came back from that and he has come back from those defeats to Peterson and Prescott. He gets knocked down and gets back up. That says a lot about the man.

And he is still aiming for the top, which is why he wants to fight Floyd.

The one thing that comes to mind with Floyd is his defence. …
