Victim feared he would be killed ATHUG launched a brutal and unprovoked attack on a traffic warden while trying to steal his work bike. Jordan Gairns kicked and punched Musa Gedi several times during the attempted robbery in Ancoats - putting the victim in hospital. Gairns ran off emptyhanded but returned shortly after and used a broken paving slab to smash the windows on a minibus with two other terrified traffic wardens inside. The 24-year-old thug fled again but was arrested a short time later. He has now been jailed for four years and seven months fs ollowing a Manchester Crown Court hearing.

Mr Gedi, from Moss Side, described how Gairns pushed him to the floor and repeatedly kicked him after he refused to hand over his work bike. The 37-year-old traffic warden added: "I was so scared.

I thought he was going to kill me.

I was just trying to protect my face." Mr Gedi said it was the first time he had been attacked in eight years as a traffic warden in Manchester. …
