MORECAMBE 1 ROCHDALE 2 SCOTT Hogan bolstered his growing reputation as one of the hottest talents in the lower leagues with a match-winning contribution at the Globe Arena. Hogan's exquisite backheeled pass paved the way for Andrew Tutte to open the scoring for the visitors on 64 minutes and the former Hyde frontman netted the second with a top-drawer finish two minutes later. Though Padraig Amond pulled one back for the home side late on, Dale held on for a victory that lifted them to third in the table. It was Hogan's first league goal since the end of September, but assistant boss Chris Beech insists there's much more to his game than finishing prowess.

"Scott is a confident person and he didn't need that goal to continue his form," said Beech.
