SCOTT Quigg will go on a scouting mission to Spain next month to watch IBF super-bantamweight champion Kiko Martinez.

But the WBA champion says a clash with Carl Frampton is the fight the British public want to see.

Quigg defended his title in devastating fashion on Saturday night - stopping Argentine Diego Silva in two rounds.

He is now lining up a unification bout with Martinez, if the Spaniard can overcome Jeffrey Mathebula next month.

The 25-year-old from Bury will be at ringside alongside trainer Joe Gallagher to cast a close eye on Martinez, with a view to a fight at the Manchester Arena in March.

Negotiations are already underway.

"It's the chance to become a double world champion," said Quigg. "It is a tough fight, but they are the fights you want.

"If I beat him then I've got a massive fight with WBC champion Leo Santa Cruz and I think I could have a war with him. …
