Phoenix Are Pegged Back on Return Leg after Bees Victory

MANCHESTER Phoenix went from heroes to zeros after thumping Bracknell Bees on Saturday night - before the Bees returned the favour last night.

Phoenix started the weekend with an emphatic 7-3 victory in Altrincham before suffering away day blues in the return leg, falling to a crushing 8-2 loss.

The result means Phoenix are still second in the Premier League and were not able to capitalise on Guildford's Saturday night slip.

Phoenix star-man Frantisek Bakrlik believes Phoenix are still playing close to their best, despite making game-changing errors.

"We are still in good form and we always have been," said Bakrlik. "There had just been a couple of games where we didn't play well.

"Teams change and they are getting new players.

A few of them are playing better which doesn't make it easy for us, but we are looking good. We are getting the wins, especially against top teams. …
