Jeff's Plan to Get on Road to a Triumph

MANCHESTER Giants are aiming to lock down free-scoring Brent Benson as they go in search of their first away win of the BBL season.

The Giants have won four times on their own floor this term but have struggled on the road.

But their trip to Birmingham - winless all season - represents a good chance to change that, with handling the threat posed by the American guard the key to success.

Benson has been the Knights' main threat, leading the young and largely English team with an average of just under 25 points per game.

And Giants coach Jeff Jones said: "We have to make sure we stop Benson. "We did a pretty good job on him at our place earlier in the season and we have to be ready to do it again. We will be ready to go and the lads are up for it."

The Giants won eight games on their return to the BBL last season and Jones says bettering that total would be represent success this time around.

"It's a win we need to get," he said. "If we can win at home and pinch the odd game away as well we will be all right. …
