Vikings Punter Chris Kluwe Prepares 'Friend of Court' Brief in Supreme Court Gay Marriage Case

Vikings punter Chris Kluwe and Baltimore Ravens linebacker Brendon Ayanbadejo have prepared an "amici curiae," friend of the court, brief in support of gay marriage in a case pending before the United States Supreme Court.

The brief did not appear to have been officially filed yet Thursday afternoon, according to the SCOTUS web site on the case, but lawyers have prepared the submission, according to the American Foundation for Equal Rights.

The case, Dennis Hollingsworth et al. v. Kristin M. Perry, is an appeal of a lower court ruling that California's Proposition 8, which limits same-sex marriages, is unconstitutional.

The amici brief, prepared on behalf of the two football players, notes:
