The Tuscaloosa City Council took the following action at its Tuesday night meeting:

Declared property surplus and authorized its disposal.

Authorized utility account credits totaling $1,009.95.

Approved request and agreement for water service to Alberta School of Performing Arts WM Extension; total: $67,218.81.

Granted permit for Tuscaloosa City Board of Education to construct water lines for Alberta School of Performing Arts WM Extension.

Set Sept. 3 as a date for a hearing on request for a variance from the floodplain management regulations.

Set Sept. 10 as a date for a public hearing to consider the appeal of Jordan C. Morris RE: 2230 University Blvd. pursuant to Section 24-232 of the Code of Tuscaloosa.

Authorized change order No. 1 for City Walk at Central Church of Christ; total: deductive amount of $3,656.45; 14 calendar day extension of time.

Authorized change order No. 1 to L&D Moore Contracting LLC for Interstate 20/59 Water and Sewer Relocation; total, $1,225.00.

Ordered demolition of structures at 1904 and 1906 Ty Rogers Jr. Ave.

Adopted Zoning Amendment No. 1275 to rezone approximately 0.78 acres located at 181 Hargrove Road from RD-1 to BN at the request of Arts 'n Autism Inc.

Adopted Zoning Amendment No. 1276 to rezone approximately 0.40 acres located at 551 6th Ave. NE from R-4 to RDD at the request of Campus Crest Development LLC.

Directed city attorney to prepare approval ordinance for the development plan of The Grove at Tuscaloosa, a riverfront zoning district development.

Approved ABC application of Mohsin Mart LLC for an off-premises retail beer license at Springbrook Chevron, 3212 McFarland Blvd.

Approved ABC application of Smart K Inc. for off-premises retail beer and off-premises retail table wine licenses at Crimson Mart, 1602 10th Ave.

Approved ABC application of LBAM Investor Group LLC for restaurant retail liquor and on-premises retail beer licenses at Tuscaloosa Courtyard By Marriott; 4115 Courtney Drive.
