Stillman Tigers Rally Past Albany State

Quick footwork and fast shots helped propel the Stillman College Tigers past Albany State on Thursday night at the Birthright Alumni Hall. After struggling late in the first half, the Tigers came back in the second half to win, 87-81.

Even though Stillman College one, it was not without a few nerve- racking moments. Constantly toying with the lead for a good portion of the second half, Albany refused to go down without a fight.

"It's just the way we play," Coach Michael Grant said. "I think teams that really like to press a lot are more unconditioned. This is what we do everyday. In practice we press each other and make it tough on each other. The guys did a good job."

Taking the lead early on in the first half, the Tigers maintained a solid nine point lead up until the final seven minutes of the half. Letting the Albany State Rams gain momentum, Stillman College loss control of the lead ending the half trailing 45-41. Coming back from halftime, the fortune was ever in the Tigers favor. …
