Without a solid lead throughout the first half, it came down to the last minutes of the game before a victor could be named. Coming out of halftime, the Stillman women's basketall team was hungry for another win and their opponent couldn't contain them.

"I just told them to stay focused," Lady Tigers Coach Cassandra Moorer said. "The score is 0-0. We were tied up so the score was 0- 0. And we try to win by four minutes and that was our focus in the second half. If you focus on 20-minute halves, that's just too much. So we scored and scored and played great defense."

Setting aside the first half, Stillman (9-14, 5-8) won, 70-63, against Miles College on Monday night at Birthright Alumni Hall, the Lady Tigers' fourth consecutive win. Tied 35-35 at the half, the Lady Tigers made up for their slow start.

Meeting mere weeks ago, Stillman was hungry to gain another win against Miles. Last time, Stillman won, 66-60, against the Lady Bears. Moorer said Miles is an in-state rival, so it felt good to beat them twice in less than a month. …
