While some people were not happy about Chris Brown's performances and win at the Grammy Awards, his ex Rihanna seems to be in a good place with him, People reports.

Brown tweeted, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY ROBYN!" to the singer (real name Robyn Rihanna Fenton) on Monday, her actual birthday, and Rihanna thanked him on her Twitter account.

Likely to spark even more controversy than Brown, who pled guilty to assaulting Rihanna in 2009, appearing at the Grammys is rumors that he was at her early birthday bash last week and is singing on a remix of her track "Birthday Cake," called "Cake."

Rihanna is rehearsing in Britain and attended Stella McCartney's show for London Fashion Week, and tweeted to fans: "I'll be turning 24 making mu$ic!!!"

Brown meanwhile is celebrating his recent Grammy win in South Beach. He took over the deejay booth Saturday night at Cameo with friend Tyga and partygoers enjoyed a life-size cake in the shape of a Grammy.

"Chris performed three of his hottest hits, including 'Look at Me Now,' 'Another Round' and 'Strip,' " People reports. "The fans went wild and he stayed at Cameo till 4:30 a.m."

Conservative politicians heed warning: He's back.

After new episodes of Stephen Colbert's "The Colbert Report" were abruptly suspended last week, reportedly because of his 91-year-old mother's health, the Comedy Central late-night show returned to TV Monday, with a guest lineup this week that includes Nancy Pelosi, the minority leader of the House of Representatives.

"My family and I would like to thank everyone who has offered their thoughts and prayers," tweeted Colbert, 47, who has earned a loyal fan following with his satirical take on conservative politics and newsmakers. "We are grateful and touched by your concern."

Also joining Colbert this week, in addition to Pelosi's slated appearance on Wednesday: Parnassus Books owner Ann Patchett, discussed independent bookstores on Monday; Robert Kagan, author of "The World America Made," appears today; and opera star Placido Domingo on Thursday.

The network aired repeat episodes last Wednesday and Thursday due to what were described in a statement as "unforeseen circumstances."
