YMCA Deaths Appear to Be Unrelated

The deaths of two middle-aged men whose bodies were found Monday at the North Side YMCA don't appear to be suspicious or related, Pittsburgh police said.

One man may have been dead for days before he was found in his room that morning, according to the Allegheny County medical examiner's office.

His name was not being released while family out of state was being notified.

The name of the other resident was still unclear Monday night. Forensic investigators have not been able to identify that man. He is described as white and 58 years old.

The causes of death are still unknown.

Major crimes unit Lt. Kevin Kraus said the men lived on the same floor but in separate rooms in the facility at West North Avenue and Monterey Street.
