Police seeking suspect in Clairton shooting

Allegheny County police have obtained a warrant for a man wanted in connection with a shooting that left another man seriously wounded in Clairton last week.

Isaac Young, 26, of Clairton is wanted on charges of attempted homicide, aggravated assault, weapons violations and reckless endangerment, according to police.

Shortly after he left, a man -- now identified as Mr. Young -- arrived and fired three or four rounds at the victim. Medics flew the victim, whose name has not been released, to a hospital in critical condition.

Police said Mr. Young is a 6-foot 1-inch African-American who weighs about 180 pounds. He sometimes visits the Hill District but was recently seen in Clairton. Police suspect he might have shaved his head since the shooting.

Anyone who sees Mr. Young is asked to call 911. Allegheny County homicide detectives are asking anyone with information about Mr. Young's whereabouts to call 412-473-1300.
