Route 910 bridge over pike in Indiana Township to open

A new bridge on Route 910 over the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Indiana Township will open this afternoon, the turnpike commission announced.

The bridge, near Blue Run Road, is one of six being replaced to make way for a reconstruction and widening project on the turnpike between Butler Valley and Allegheny Valley.

Traffic to be restricted on Route 19 in McCandless

Pavement patching on Route 19 in McCandless will cause lane closures on weekdays through Thursday, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced.

The work will be done from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in both directions between Ingomar Road and Sewickley-Oakmont Road.

Knoxville man faces more child sex charges

A Knoxville man was arraigned Wednesday night on charges that he sexually abused a third boy and paid him for sex acts.

Pittsburgh police said their investigation into Michael Seaman, 40, continues.

The latest boy told a sex assault detective that Mr. Seaman engaged in oral sex with him more than 20 times between November and this past summer, often paying him $40 each time, according to an affidavit of probable cause.

Mr. Seaman was arrested last week on charges he sexually abused two other teenage boys and often paid them for sex acts. He is being held in the Allegheny County Jail and faces a preliminary hearing today in that case and a hearing Wednesday on the latest charges.

City police seeking suspect in shooting death at bar

Pittsburgh police have obtained a warrant in connection with a fatal shooting last week at JR's Bar in East Allegheny.

Wesley Richards, 34, of McKees Rocks, faces charges of homicide and carrying a firearm without a license in connection with the shooting Friday morning of Donald Lowry, 46, of Sheraden.

A witness told police that Richards fired at Lowry at least four times and ran out of the bar about 1 a.m.

Online court records show Richards pleaded guilty to a number of drug charges and once to gun violations. …
