Julius Bugno, 86, of Sarasota, formerly of Poland, died Jan. 13, 2012.

Survivors include his daughter, Irene Hammond of O'Fallon, Ill.

He was a member of the Polish American Club; an avid tennis player, played classical guitar, a master chess player and a volunteer for Mote Aquarium and the Ringling Brothers Museum.

Fennell, Frank C.

Frank C. Fennell, 91, of Sarasota died Dec. 27, 2011.

Frank was preceded in death by his wife Vicki; parents Harvey and Tirzah Fennell; brother Don (Evelyn) Fennell; and sisters Margaret (Richard) Madill and Eleanor (Harold) Sears.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Cosgrove Keyser Fennell; daughter Kathy (Kip) Colwell; granddaughter Emily; stepchildren Judith Merrill (Taylor), George Keyser (Sharon), Stephen Keyser (Phyllis) and Dr. Philip Keyser (Debbie); and five nieces.

Frank grew up in Greensburg, Pa. He graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a BS and an MS in electrical engineering. Frank served as a second lieutenant in the Army while stationed in the Philippines. Frank and Vicki were married in 1945 and spent 59 years together until Vicki's death in 2004. He was a longtime member of Interlachen Country Club in Edina, Minn., a founding member of Bent Tree Country Club in Sarasota, and active in Westbrook Country Club of Mansfield, Ohio.

Frank's career spanned 43 years with the Westinghouse organization, culminating as executive vice president of Thermo King. He was also a longtime member of Rotary International, with the last years proudly spent as an Edina Rotarian with perfect attendance. A 32nd degree Mason, Frank attended the Church of the Palms Presbyterian Church in Sarasota and Christ Presbyterian Church in Minnesota. He enjoyed fly fishing, hunting, golf and travel.

Frank and Barbara were married in 2005. Barb made Frank's last years very happy ones.

A memorial service for Frank's life took place at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 4, at Christ Presbyterian Church, 6901 Normandale Road, Edina, MN 55435. A private internment was at Lakewood cemetery. …
