Office building lost in foreclosure

Paul R. Grissom has won a $1.79 million foreclosure judgment against VOB Associates LLC, a Sarasota company managed by Edward H. Sarbey.

VOB Associates borrowed $2 million in March 2003 to finance its $2.45 million purchase of a medical office building at 1945 Versailles St. in Sarasota from Grissom, who purchased the building for $1.53 million in February 1997.

Bradenton strip mall in foreclosure

Superior Bank has won a $405,300 foreclosure judgment against Southern Fox LLC, a Sarasota company managed by Ronald Fowler.

Southern Fox borrowed the money in November 2005 to finance its $600,000 purchase of a 3,641-square-foot strip center at 3515 14th Street W. in Bradenton.

Gas station sells for $400,000 less

AMJ Oil Co., a Venice company managed by Joseph Chandy, has sold a 980-square-foot convenience store and gas station at 116 N. Tamiami Trail in Venice to Venice Palm Inc. for $1.35 million.

Venice Palm, a Morton Grove, Illinois company managed by Emmanuel Joseph, financed the purchase with a $1.6 million loan from National Republic Bank of Chicago.

AMJ Oil bought the property from Mobile Oil for $1.75 million in January 2004.

Office warehouse for $900,000

Porter ABD LLC, a Boynton Beach company managed by Danny Willard, has sold an eight-unit office warehouse building (17,100 square feet) at 6331 Porter Road in Sarasota to Bin Bin Realty LLC for $900,000.

Porter ABD paid $849,900 for the complex in August 2008.

Bin Bin Realty is a Tampa company managed by Harry and Charles Binder.

Bee Ridge offices change hands

Laurel Ridge Investment Group Inc., a Sarasota company managed by Robert Zimny, has sold a 14,141-square-foot medical office building at 7257 Bee Ridge Road in Sarasota to Houghton-Wagman Partnership Ltd. for $1.27 million. Laurel Ridge bought the land in 1991 and built the nine-unit office building the following year.

Restaurant buys property next door

C Romano Properties LLC, a Bradenton company managed by John B. Cravens, has sold a 2,000-square-foot auto dealership building at 8451 N. Tamiami Trail in southern Manatee County to Captain Brian's Seafood Market Inc. …
