Nolan Borgersen took all the pressure off himself Friday afternoon.

The Westwood senior, the most productive wide receiver in the state, can now enjoy his vacation trip to Virginia Beach and his senior year after accepting a scholarship to Boston College. Borgersen had 25 offers, and had narrowed his final list to BC, Central Florida, Maryland and Harvard.

"This was a tough one," Borgersen said. "It really was. Do I go to the Ivy League and sacrifice something on football or do I go non- Ivy and play in front of 60,000 people?"

BC turned out to be the perfect combination of academics and football for Borgersen, who wants to study business.

"They've been recruiting me for a long time," said Borgersen, who last season established what is believed to be a state record with 26 touchdown catches. "They loved the way I ran patterns, but my 40 time wasn't as good as it could've been.

"Then I came back with a 4.39 and 4.40, and they offered me right there."
