KINNELON -- Dana Scillieri's overtime goal gave Pequannock a 2- 1, come-from-behind victory over Kinnelon on Wednesday afternoon.

With the score tied at 1, Scillieri found space inside the Colts' 18-yard box and poked the ball into the back of the net after passes from Jen McGrogan and Nicole Benway.

"Their defender man-marked me but I got around her," said Scillieri, a forward. "Jen crossed it, Nicole headed it forward and I was able to poke it in.

"This win was a real a boost to our confidence with how we turned the game around, especially with the county meeting [today]."

The two teams spent the first 20 minutes measuring each other before Pequannock began to take hold of most of the possession.

Nearly 30 minutes in, Sam VanZile took the ball 40 yards from goal, beat a Pequannock defender down the right wing and lobbed the ball over the keeper to give Kinnelon a 1-0 edge.

Kinnelon took hold of the game after that goal, but Pequannock showed it was not going away easily as Katie Dara and Emily Brewer hit the goal's frame before halftime. …
