Eli Manning has always been a relentless study when it comes to watching film from past and current seasons of upcoming opponents.

That won't be the case this week with the Giants headed to Seattle, at least not of the footage from the most recent game Manning played against the Seahawks in December.

"Probably not," Manning said when asked by a reporter on a conference call Wednesday if he would be reviewing the lowlights of the Giants' 23-0 loss to the eventual Super Bowl XLVIII champions during which he threw a career-high five interceptions.

It's more likely Manning does not need a reminder of what not to do against Seattle's vaunted "Legion of Boom" secondary, which features a pair of All-Pros in cornerback Richard Sherman and safety Earl Thomas.

The Seahawks were responsible for essentially putting the finishing touches of a woeful campaign for Manning that he would rather forget, setting in motion everything that took place this off- season as the Giants overhauled their offense while hoping for a rebound from their two-time Super Bowl MVP quarterback.

"Last year we did not play well against them, but they have good players, and we know that," Manning added. "We've got to play smart. Can't turn the ball over versus this team."

Manning has not thrown an interception in 145 passes, marking the longest streak of his career.

His last pick came four games ago at Washington, when officials could have ruled the interception that went in and out of Rueben Randle's hands was a touchdown instead.

Coach Tom Coughlin said he has been pleased with Manning and the way he has been playing this season, even after a sluggish first half Monday against the Colts during which the quarterback admittedly missed numerous big-play opportunities by firing high to his receivers.

"An awful lot was done to ensure that Eli be given a chance to come back and play very well this year," Coughlin said. "I think that the quarterback [play] attests to that. …
