* Paramus Catholic has gotten a nice lift from dynamic freshman PG Sarah Scerbak. In four games, she's averaged 8.8 points, four assists, three rebounds and 2.5 steals.

* Freshman PG Elena Pulanco has made a immediate impact for Holy Angels, leading the team in scoring through her first six games (12.2 points). The Angels also are getting nice production from sophomore F Elizabeth Garcia (10.7 points, 8.5 rebounds).

* Senior F Brielle Mulvihill has been the catalyst behind West Milford's 5-1 start, averaging 16.3 points, 4.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 2.2 steals.

* Keep an eye on Mahwah sophomore C Kayla Devine. The 6-footer gives the Thunderbirds a solid presence under the basket, and averaged 12.2 points and 10 rebounds through five games.

* Natalie Miller has picked up right where she left off last season for New Milford. The sophomore G averaged 13 points and 5.4 rebounds through her first five games, and connected on 18 three- pointers.

* Senior G Andie Lennon is off to a quick start for unbeaten Secaucus, averaging 17.7 points. She has 12 three-pointers in six games.

* Kennedy has won two straight games, and it looks like sophomore Tajae Stevenson is building off her promising freshman season by averaging 14 points and 6.2 rebounds an outing.

* River Dell is off to a 6-1 start, and the Golden Hawks have been getting a great contribution from junior F Christine Woods. She's averaging 10.3 points and 13.6 rebounds, and had 19 rebounds in a win over Fort Lee.

* Dumont been showing off a nice one-two punch in sophomore sharpshooter Sarah Skeith (16 ppg.) and freshman F Amber Porrett (15 points, 12 rebounds per game.) Skeith has 100 three-pointers in her first 30 varsity games.

* Senior C Tia Solomon is starting to round into form after off- season knee surgery. She's helped Fair Lawn win three straight, and led the way with a 34-point performance against Passaic Valley.

* Group 1 Cresskill had a productive holiday season, picking up a basketful of power points with wins over Wayne Valley and Clifton in the Bergen-Passaic Tournament. Senior G/F Krystin Swan averaged 13.5 points and sophomore G Erin McQuillen 12. …
