Bringing Country Music to Brooklyn

Article excerpt

Country music station NASH-FM (94.7) has formed an alliance with Brooklyn's Barclays Center.

As part of the partnership, Barclays will host a minimum of two "NASH Bash" events annually, featuring country music artists. The NASH team will also collaborate with the arena in curating talent for additional country shows.

"It was clear from our sold-out Luke Bryan concert last September that country is a wildly popular genre in Brooklyn," said Barclays Center CEO Brett Yormark in a statement.

In September 2014, Barclays Center launched its "Country in Brooklyn" platform by hosting Bryan for the arena's first-ever country music show.

Cumulus created the NASH entertainment brand in January 2013 starting with the flagship "America's Country Station" (94.7).

The partnership marks the station's first arena alliance in the metropolitan area.

The first "bash" at Barclays Center is planned for this spring.

Listeners can also treat themselves to clips of interviews with Sinatra and insight from current artists into the ways he has influenced their music.
