Search, Rescue Groups to Aid Oakland Family

OAKLAND -- State search and rescue groups, ready to offer assistance, have reached out to the father of the missing 30-year- old borough woman last seen March 10.

The groups asked not to be named at this stage in the search because they are not yet formally involved, the woman's father, James McCallum said.

The search for Meg McCallum, who has a history of mental disability, continues. McCallum is 5-foot-3, weighs 195 pounds and has dark brown hair and brown eyes.

She was last seen by her grandmother, Betty Sidow, at about 11 p.m. March 10, at her Montvale home when McCallum offered to let her dog, Sweetpea, out. Sidow went to bed but woke to Sweetpea barking around 3:30 a.m. McCallum was gone, as was her car, a 1998 black four-door Subaru Impreza with New Jersey plates N32EAY. The car had not been found as of Friday.

McCallum left with no belongings and had stopped taking her medication for bipolar disorder months before. She has no money in her bank account and her phone is off, her father said. …
