SHEDS GOING FOR GOLD ; Two Greater Manchester Men Make It to the Final of 'Best Outbuilding' Competition

TWO men from Greater Manchester have made it to the final of the annual Shed of the Year competition.

The two entries from Wigan and Bolton have beaten 2,520 other entries to make it to the final shortlist of the annual competition, which aims to showcase the best of Britain's wacky and wonderful out- buildings. Colin Edmonson, from Wigan, succeeded in getting his Micro shed through to the final round in the Unique Category.

Bolton man Andy Walker's Ty Mynydd Fach, which translates as Little Mountain Hut, has also been shortlisted in the Budget Category.

Now the public are being asked to vote for the winners in each category on readersheds.co.uk.

A spokesman from the website said: "The competition is getting bigger and better each year proving that the nation is totally fanatical about garden sheds. With the competition even fiercer, deciding who will be crowned Shed of the Year 2015 will be no mean feat."

Ty Mynydd Fach is understood to be inspired by Andy's love of mountain climbing. …
