I Can't Watch the Show, It Would Bring Back Terrible Memories

A MUM pictured reaching out for her baby son in the aftermath of the bomb has said she will not be tuning in to watch BBC drama From There to Here.

Lisa Hughes, whose son Sam was injured in the explosion, says she would find the TV show too upsetting.

Lisa was shopping on John Dalton Street shopping with husband Perry, daughter Heidi and Sam when the bomb went off.

The emotional picture, taken by M.E.N. photographer Carl Royle, of her reaching out for Sam, who was covered in blood, became one of the enduring images of the day and was seen around the world.

Sam, who was seven months old, suffered a cut to his wrist which narrowly missed an artery. Lisa, from Worsley, Salford, said: "I haven't seen the programme and I have no plans to watch it. The bomb did affect me and my family greatly. But it was a long time ago and we have moved on. …
