YOUNG MAGICIAN PULLS AWARD OUT OF HIS HAT ; Teenager Ready to Dazzle Audiences in the Capital after Dazzling Tricks Help Him Win Prize.

JUST like that! This teenage magician has been wowing crowds, but now the trickster will be dazzling audiences in London after winning a top award.

Dominic Hughes, 17, who performs his magic under the stage name Dominic Anthony, started learning his tricks two years ago, after seeing his grandad perform a few card tricks.

The college student, from Boothstown in Salford, will now be heading to London this summer to take part in workshops hosted by Ben Hamlin, the magician and host of ITV 4 show Tricked.

Dominic, who has performed at various charity events and for VIPs including GMP Chief Constable Peter Fahy, said: "I like to show people something a little bit different that will get them thinking about what they have seen.

"I started because I wanted to stand out among my friends.

"I've never really looked at YouTube videos or anything, my grandad taught me a few things and I have taught myself some things as well."

Dominic has now scooped the under-18s title in the Street Magicians competition with his trick of appearing to re-fill an already empty can of coke. …
