Pelle Vows There Are More New Deals on the Way

MANUEL Pellegrini has hinted City are ready to announce they've tied down more key players to long-term deals.

City handed extended contracts to Vincent Kompany, David Silva and Sergio Aguero this week. Samir Nasri and Aleksandar Kolarov also signed new deals earlier this summer.

But Pellegrini revealed ahead of tomorrow's Premier League opener against Newcastle that the club are not finished yet with Edin Dzeko and Joe Hart in talks over fresh terms.

Pellegrini said: "I think it is very important for the club to retain the best players.

"I think it is also important for the club that they want to stay here because they are working very well and this is a club that has a lot of ambition for the future.

"They understand that and maybe you will know in the next few days about other players who extend their contracts."

There is no sign City are ready to offer Yaya Toure a new contract, despite his summer of discontent. …
