Lee Erdmann Shot Dead for 'Disrespecting Gang Member'

A YOUNG father may have been shot for 'disrespecting' a gang member.

Lee Erdmann, 37, a father of five, was shot dead in The Wellington pub on Salford's Ordsall estate three years ago.

A source said: "One theory is that Mr Erdmann had been accused of disrespecting the prime suspect some time before the shooting. He was told to go to the pub to say sorry, but refused to do so and was shot."

As revealed in the M.E.N., detectives also believe he may have been killed for drinking in the wrong pub.

He was murdered by a man he had appeared to be speaking to 'amicably' for half an hour at the bar during an early-hours lock- in. During the conversation the killer is believed to have secretly used his mobile phone to text an accomplice and tell them to bring a handgun to the pub.

Then, as Lee walked towards the pub toilet at about 2.50am on Saturday September, 10, 2011, he was shot in the back.

As he lay dying, the gunman shot him again in the chest, stamped on his face, and then warned drinkers that they would be shot if they spoke to police. …
