Veteran Kenny Ready for a New Chapter with Oldham

NEW Oldham keeper Paddy Kenny hopes his move to the club can help him get his career back on track.

The 36-year-old signed for Latics on loan last week after failing to break into the Bolton Wanderers starting side.

He made his debut in the 3-0 victory at local rivals Rochdale, and the experienced stopper now wants to hit the ground running.

"It's been difficult over the past year so it's nice to be back in action," he said.

"It's another chapter in my career and having the opportunity to come and play here under the manager was something that I relished.

"I spoke to him last week and he put the club forward to me and it was something I wanted to be part of.

"I really enjoyed Saturday's match and it has been around eight months since I had played a competitive game so it was great to be out there.

"You want games like that so it was a nice atmosphere to be involved in. …
