uNITED stars made Christmas dreams come true for fans with serious and life-limiting illnesses.

Old Trafford heroes including Wayne Rooney, Angel di Maria and Robin van Persie spent time with seriously ill supporters at the club's Aon Training Complex as part of its 'Dream Days' project.

Members of the squad posed for pictures and signed autographs with kids, such as eight-yearold George Bould, who suffers from a rare form of kidney cancer.

George, from Stoke, was thrilled to meet striker Robin van Persie and the pair were even interviewed by BBC Sport. George said: "The day was absolutely brilliant. I was really excited and it's brilliant to see Robin van Persie.

"He signed all my stuff and was really nice."

George presented the Dutch international with a homemade bracelet, which he proudly sported on his Instagram page.

Van Persie said: "It's very important to give something back to all our fans, especially fans that have gone through a diffi-cult time in their own way, so it gives me a great feeling to see all these smiles today. …
