Mixed Bag of Results Has Johnson Reaching out to the Fans

OLDHAM Athletic manager Lee Johnson says his team needs to get the fans back onside with a performance against MK Dons today.

Latics head to Stadium MK on the back of a 4-0 home defeat to Yeovil Town last weekend.

The loss knocked Oldham out of the play-off places, and Johnson is hoping that his team can bounce straight back with victory over their Buckinghamshire opponents.

"We got a bit of stick from the supporters last week and rightfully so," he said. "The showing against Yeovil was unacceptable and we know that, so now we need to give the fans something to cheer.

"If the players start to believe their own hype then you can get complacent, and I sensed that a bit after the Rochdale game.

"It will be a tough match against MK Dons but we don't see it as tougher than any other game in the league.

"We know that we have good players so we certainly don't go into the match fearful. …
