FORMER United youth product Febian Brandy has returned to his native Manchester to join up with Keith Hill's exciting Rochdale squad.

Riding high in League One and with an FA Cup fourth-round tie against Premier League Stoke City on the horizon, life is sweet right now for the Spotland club and Brandy fancies a taste himself.

But the 25-year-old winger, who signed from Rotherham in a deal until the end of the season, accepts he faces a real battle to break into the Dale's successful side.

"It's good to come to a club in high spirits and with the club doing well and getting good results," he said.

"I'm not coming here to walk in to the team that's something I would never think.

"I'm just coming to work my socks off and try get into the team and add something to what Rochdale already have.

"I've watched Rochdale play on the Football League Show and a few times in the past and they play some really good football. …
