LUKE Shaw says United's costly stars have got to win back their pride after the embarrassment of the FA Cup stalemate at Cambridge. Louis van Gaal's side came close to humiliation in the first leg at the Abbey Stadium. They survived a few scares and then failed to kill off their League Two potential giant-killers after a second half of domination.

In the end the 0-0 draw was a triumph for Richard Money's side and one to forget for the near Pounds 200m assembled squad on duty in East Anglia a week last Friday.

Shaw, who came on as a sub on the night, believes United have to make up for their drab effort.

"It was very disappointing against Cambridge. We wanted to win that game but now we just have to focus on the replay," says the Pounds 27m left back.

"It was very disappointing, not just for the team but for everyone. We've got a point to prove to get the game done because I know how important the FA Cup is to us as a team.

"We haven't won it for a while now so it would be nice to get a cup run going and hopefully get something at the end of it."

The stunning third round exits of the Premier League's top two sides Chelsea and City has opened the door to Wembley with United facing a fifth round away trip to either Preston or Sheffield United if they beat Cambridge in the Old Trafford replay.

"Yes we definitely have a chance, especially now when you look at the teams that have been knocked out," added Shaw.

"There are not so many of the so-called big teams left so I think we have to take that as a positive and make sure we get the win. We need to start making Old Trafford a fortress against the teams that come here.

"The whole team look at it as a trophy we all want to win and especially now it's, you could say, the main priority because the league, I wouldn't say it has gone, but we're quite far away. So we're definitely looking to win the FA Cup. …
