One in four parents say their child has tantrums if they don't get their favoured snack Most of us realise that bad relationships can have a negative effect on wellbeing.

Now relationships charity Relate is urging the NHS to put links between couples, families and friends at the heart of our health service.

It suggests if doctors and nurses were trained to monitor the relationships of patients with long-term physical and mental conditions and offer support when necessary, it could improve the health of millions.

Relate says: "When health conditions are the main cause of increased demand on the NHS it makes no sense to leave relationships out of the picture."

Up to a million of us could have undiagnosed kidney disease, a charity warns.

The main causes are diabetes, high blood pressure and heart disease but the signs are difficult to spot, says Kidney Research UK.

The charity advises people at higher risk to discuss it with their GP as well as use the kidney health check at kidneyresearchuk. …
