STABBING VICTIM WAS 'CARING AND FRIENDLY' ; Tributes Paid to 52-Year-Old Who Was Found Fatally Stabbed at House with Injured Woman

TRIBUTES have been paid to a man found with fatal stab wounds at a house in Heywood.

Graham Clarke, 52, was discovered at his brother's terraced home on Claybank Street on Sunday.

Police were called to the property on the Back o' th' Moss estate after reports that two people had been assaulted.

Officers found Mr Clarke with stab injuries.

He was taken to hospital but died a short time later.

A woman aged 37 was also found at the house with injuries to her face.

It is believed she may have been trying to save Mr Clarke when he was attacked, becoming injured herself.

It is not thought she was related to Mr Clarke.

Mr Clarke is thought to have been visiting his older brother, Peter, who lives in the house on Claybank Street when the attack happened.

A 34-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody for questioning.

The attack on Mr Clarke is believed to be a domestic-related incident. The M.E.N. understands it may have happened after a number of people had been at the property drinking. …
