STOCKPORT County caretaker boss Phil Brown has urged his squad to send supporters away with a smile as the Hatters close their Vanarama Conference North campaign on Saturday.

Harrogate Town are the visitors to Edgeley Park and Brown is hoping to give the County faithful something to smile about.

"I massively want to finish on a high. I want the lads to put a good, honest performance in," he said.

"I'm desperate to get a win for the fans, the players and the club. I want to send the fans off with three points and a performance with less mistakes and a bit more quality.

"It's not nice when you're working hard and getting nothing."

Brown was left to rue missed chances as his side went down at Cheltenham's Whaddon Road last weekend.

County slipped to a 2-0 deficit at half-time thanks to sloppy defending, while the attacking three of Kristian Dennis, Chris Sharp and Danny Glover struggled in the final third.
