The Tuscaloosa City Council took the following action at its Tuesday meeting:

Denied adoption of Annexation No. 634 to annex lots 1 and 2 of the Kyle Sellers Subdivision into the corporate limits of the city of Tuscaloosa. (Tabled May 27)

Authorized request for flasher signal electrical service.

Set June 24 as the date for a hearing to fix the cost of demolishing the building at 3320 19th St.

Set June 24 as the date for a hearing to fix the cost of demolishing the building at 1206 19th St.

Set June 24 as the date for a hearing to fix the cost of demolishing the building at 2213 Third St. E.

Set June 24 as the date for a hearing to fix the cost of demolishing the building at 2700 26th St.

Approved request and agreement for water service to Riverchase No. 11 Section 4 (WM

Extension); total: $91,645.11.

Granted permit for Waugh Development Corp. to construct water lines for Riverchase No. 11 Section Four

(water main extension).

Authorized the issuance of a loan to Kimberly M. Cousette for home purchase assistance under the city's HOME Program; total: $5,000.

Authorized a memorandum of understanding between the city of Tuscaloosa and the U.S. Small Business Administration.

Amended resolutions authorizing change order nos. 2 and 3 for city of Tuscaloosa East and West precincts.

Authorized the mayor to execute a grant agreement with the Alabama Historical Commission to update the Downtown Tuscaloosa Historic District's National Register Nomination; total: not to exceed $9,240.

Authorized an agreement with the Tuscaloosa County Park and Recreation Authority and The Tuscaloosa News for a July 4 special event.

Selected Burk-Kleinpeter, Inc. as engineer for Prince Avenue/ Harrison Street/27th Street Water Main Upgrade Project.

Selected the Cassady Co. Inc. as engineer for 23rd Avenue East to 25th Avenue East and University Boulevard East to Fourth Street East (Alberta) Water Main Upgrade Project.

Selected Burk-Kleinpeter Inc. as engineer for The Downs Water Main Upgrade Project.

Selected McGiffert & Associates LLC as engineer for Green Grove/ Colonial Hills/Altamont Water Main Upgrade Project.
