BOYS BASKETBALL ROUNDUP: Stampede Claims Red and White Tournament Title

TUSCALOOSA | Kevin Holland led all scorers with 17 points, including going 3-for-3 in 3-pointers, to lead Paul W. Bryant High School to a 54-39 win over Greene County on Thursday night in the championship game of Central's Red and White Tournament.

Dexter Hood was an all-around force for the Stampede, pouring in 15 points, grabbing five rebounds and making three steals. Tony Whitehead had 12 points off the bench and two blocks. Matthew James led the team with six assists and four steals.

Greene County's Cyontai Lewis and Dameion Craig each had nine points. The Tigers were held to just six points in the third quarter.

Bryant never trailed in the game and improved to 3-0 on the season. The Stampede will play at home against Hale County next Tuesday at 7 p.m. Greene County falls to 2-1.
