In the third quarter, Thomas drove for a layup and converted a three-point play to give the Lady Aggies a 37-35 lead. Central took its last lead at 40-39 on a basket by Lawanda Maddix. Mitchell scored eight straight points during a 10-4 run, and Sylacauga took a 49-44 lead into the fourth quarter.

Senior guard Toborsha Holley scored 17 points to lead Central (24- 6). She had five assists, two steals and two rebounds. Sophomore Shawntayla Harris added 15 points.
