Stillman Still Trying to Overcome Injuries

Usually, a coach is not too happy after a loss, but Stillman coach Teddy Keaton was extremely proud of the close loss to Miles College last week after all of the injuries and adversity his football team has faced.

Stillman has been ravaged with injuries, and it is something Keaton has harped on all season. He said he feels like those filling in for some of the injured spots on the team have finally grown up.

"This game, I feel like they finally put it together a little bit," Keaton said. "They gave themselves a chance. We made a surge late. I had to be careful when I talked to the team. I told them I was proud of them and how they fought. We have a lot of guys who haven't played a lot of snaps. They have been getting a lot of snaps recently and they are finally learning what to do, when to do it, and why to do it that way."

Stillman takes on Clark Atlanta in its home-finale today.

The Tigers added a few wrinkles offensively against Miles. One of the most successful was lining Dondre Purnell in the wildcat formation. …
