Company to move into RIDC Park West

Findlay - Township supervisors voted 3-0 on June 11 to approve the construction of a 90,113-square-foot office building on 12 acres at 130 Enterprise Drive in the RIDC Park West business park.

The plans include a single-story building and 450 parking spaces - about 150 more than what the township requires.

"That's at the request of the applicant because of the number of employees who will be there," township planning director Chris Caruso said.

Scott Caplan of Pittsburgh, a business development manager for developer Clayco Realty Group, said the building will accommodate about 400 employees of a company he declined to name.

"We have a Fortune 100 company, and we're under a confidentiality agreement," Mr. Caplan said.

He hopes to start construction in August.

Instead of sidewalks, the developer will build part of a hiking and walking trail, Mr. Caruso said.

Other construction activities in RIDC Park West include a 25,938- square-foot expansion of office and light manufacturing space at Prominent Fluid Controls on Mercantile Drive and a 60,000-square- foot office-and-flexible-use building on Industry Drive..

Supervisors approved a plan for Matthew Kokolis of North Fayette to move his business Glassworks, an auto shop for restoring Corvette hardtops, to 115 Main St. in the Imperial section of the township.

The business will occupy the Imperial Volunteer Fire Department station when construction of a new fire station is completed at 111 Pine St. in Imperial. Groundbreaking for the $1.1 million, 10,400- square-foot station took place in January.
