Big Beaver Falls Area

A dedication ceremony was held Sept. 25 for the recently renovated Central Elementary School in Beaver Falls.

The two-year, $17 million project was part of a district program to improve its schools.

School directors have restructured their meeting schedule.

The agenda-setting meeting will be at 7:30 p.m. the first Thursday. This session will consist of building the agenda for the voting meeting, conducting committee discussions, reviewing general presentations but not voting.

The voting meeting will be at 7:30 p.m. the third Thursday. The board will continue to televise all meetings. Here is the meeting schedule for the rest of this year:

Tuesday, voting meeting. This meeting has been rescheduled to avoid a conflict with the high school open house; Nov. 4, agenda- setting meeting; Nov. 18, voting meeting; Dec. 2, reorganization meeting at 7:30 followed by agenda-setting meeting; Dec. 16, voting meeting.

Holy Trinity

Students will view art reproductions representing a wide variety of contemporary and classic artworks under a program offered by the Catholic Diocese of Pittsburgh.

The works of art will enable students to interpret, create and understand their world and encourage the artistic expression of their cultures and heritage.

A comprehensive "No Bullying" Program has been initiated with involvement by students, faculty and support personnel.

Adults and students have received instruction on all behaviors that may be considered aggressive and/or threatening. Teachers have discussed and modeled caring behavior for the students.

It was emphasized that the students should consider themselves members of the "Caring Majority" and that they need to report these kinds of incidents to protect all students.

Moon Area

The Moon Band Parents Organization will discuss the recent band festival, the latest fund-raising activities and other items at their meeting at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow in the high school chorus room. …
